All school social workers working in the Rochester City School District have master’s degrees in social work. They are licensed by the State of New York and are certified to practice as school social workers by the New York State Department of Education. As part of maintaining a license and certification, a school social worker receives ongoing training and education to ensure that students, families and school staff receive the highest level of professional services.
